Clove Oil


If you feel bleeding gums at the time of brushing or eating something hard, then clove oil will be very beneficial. For this, Dip a cotton ball in clove oil and rub it all around your gums and teeth. After a while, clean the mouth with light lukewarm water. If you are having difficulty in putting oil, you can chew cloves twice a day.

Consumption of Vitamin C


Try to include vitamin c in your diet in little more quantity. This prevents your gums from Infection. Consume raw vegetables and citrus fruits to strengthen your teeth and make gums healthy. One cup of orange juice with a half teaspoon of natural sugar and a pinch of cumin will also help keep bleeding gums at bay.



Honey has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help kill the bacteria causing bleeding gums. For this, put some raw honey on your fingertips and massage on your gums smoothly. Apply this remedy of honey for your gums regularly.



Turmeric has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties that help stop the gums from bleeding. All you need to do is mix some turmeric and mustard oil together and massage the mixture gently on your gums.

Alum Water Rinse


Alum has antiseptic properties that help reduce the swelling and combat infections that cause bleeding gums. All you need is warm water and some alum; mix the two and rinse your mouth thoroughly with the solution. Use it at least two to three times a day.

Oil Pulling


While sleeping at night, mix a teaspoon of mustard oil and a pinch of salt. Massage your gums with this oil paste so that your gums are strengthened. Doing this will stop bleeding from your gums in a few days. You can use Coconut oil or sesame oil if you don’t like mustard oil.

Saltwater Rinse


Mix some salt in 1 glass warm water and rinse your mouth thoroughly with the solution. Use it at least once or twice a day. Salt has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties that help reduce the swelling and combat infections that cause bleeding gums.


Consuming foods like yogurt, green tea, soy, garlic, may also help keep your gums healthy. Always brush your teeth on a daily basis, especially after eating sugary and processed foods.
